To slay and to avenge

Open Character: Genevieve Savidge | Human | Slayer | Alignment: Rogue Slayer | 19 years old
FC: Katie McGrathGenevieve Savidge is a British socialite and the daughter of the Duke of Devonshire (Devon) in England. Her family have held the title for several hundred years and as a result of this, they are one of the most well-respected aristocratic families in the country. Genevieve was given everything in life. She was gifted with privilege and enough resources and money to do almost anything she wanted. What Genevieve wasn’t prepared for though was the day her slayer powers were activated. Suddenly, Genevieve found she was physically able to do things other girls could not. She was strong, fast, and immune to a great many injuries. Though Genevieve had a lot of acquaintances, she didn’t have many true friends. The closest was Roden, an Oxford graduate who her father had hired as her personal tutor. After Roden grew suspicious about her behavior, Genevieve confessed to him her new-found abilities.
Genevieve expected Roden to think she was insane, tell her father, try to have her locked up. She was prepared to stop him however necessary. Roden surprised her by confiding in her that he had a secret too. He wasn’t just an academic, but a powerful warlock. He knew what she was. He’d heard of them before. Genevieve had been activated as a slayer. From that moment on, Genevieve trusted Roden with her training in both the slayer lineage and the physical aspect that came with it. Roden taught her about Buffy Summers, a sort of slayer monarch who ruled over the slayer army. He suggested that Genevieve should take this role and being as influenced by power as she was, she took the idea on board wholeheartedly. Now, Roden and Genevieve prepare for the inevitable battle with Buffy, using Roden’s powers to locate as many slayers as possible in order for Genevieve to assassinate them. Forget waiting in cemeteries for vampires to rise: this is Gen’s training.
Genevieve now sees the perfect opportunity to take over. Buffy is distracted by helping SHIELD and so are her friends. So is her army. The world is falling into chaos and Genevieve believes she can be the one left standing when they come out of the other side of the tunnel. Under the borderline manipulation and guidance of Roden, Genevieve travels to London and then to New York where he believes Buffy’s new slayer cell is located. Their goal is to stay under the radar and wait for the right time to strike, weakening Buffy’s slayer squad at any opportunity. Unfortunately for Roden and Genevieve, it won’t be too long before their murderous actions begin to attract attention from the wrong people.
Personality Traits: Single-minded, demanding, charming, clever, damaged, easily manipulated

Open Character: Cleopatra “Cleo” Vogel | Human | Slayer | Alignment: Slayer Organization  | 21 Years Old
FC: Neve Campbell
Activated as a Slayer at the age of 19, Cleo didn’t quite know what to do with herself anymore. Before graduating from high school in her hometown of Boston, she had been a shy girl that was the constant target of bullying and abuse from her classmates and father. She didn’t know a world without oppression. But now, Cleo had power. She could feel it flowing through her, out her fingertips, down to her toes, into her soul. It happened suddenly but felt strangely natural. She left home after graduation and moved to New York City, trying to get as far away from her father as possible. She snatched up a job as a waitress in a small 50s themed diner. She did her own research about her new power, finding few books on the subject but hit the jackpot when she found the journal of a watcher from the 70s. The journal told her vampires existed, and not those pansy “sparkle-in-the-sunlight” vampires, but real “suck-your-blood-and-kill-you” vampires. The journal mentioned something called a “slayer”. Into each generation a slayer was born, and she was next. She thought she was insane.
She wanted to test her theory and prove to herself that she wasn’t crazy. And if she was wrong, it was just back to the books for her. The watcher mentioned slayers going on patrols in graveyards, and described proper staking techniques. Cleo decided she’d try this thing out. What’s the worst that could happen? Well, for the first few nights, nothing happened, until one night a bumpy-faced ugly popped out of the ground right before her eyes. She was so surprised by her speed, intuition, and strength being finally put to the test. She staked the vamp no problem. After that, Cleo was a slaying machine. The vampires of Los Angeles were no match for her. She read the watcher’s journal like a bible. Her strength increased every day. She thought she didn’t need anything but herself, her resolve to help others, and her power. But she soon realized she was wrong when overwhelmed by enemies in a vampire nest. Almost overcome by them while fighting for her life, she was saved by another slayer. She refused to give her name, but told Cleo that things had changed and there was someone who could help her with this new power right there in New York. Her name was Rupert Giles.
She resolved to find this man and one night while on her way to meet with him, she was taken by mysterious men. She awoke in her bed, having lost 3 weeks of time she couldn’t remember. Without any leads on what had happened, she decided to save that mystery for later, and focus on finding Giles. When she did, he told her she was one of the chosen ones, and told her the story of Buffy Summers and all the other slayers. He told her she was part of something bigger than herself, and she was chosen to help and protect people. Her rebellious nature made her perfect for the job, and to work under Faith Lehane, a once troubled slayer herself. Cleo now knows what she is, who she wants to be, and what she has to do, but those three lost weeks still haunt her to this day.
Character Traits: Rebellious, protective, overbearing, quick to anger, sometimes irrational, kind, compassionate
Powers & Abilities:
Enhanced strength
Enhanced speed
Superhuman agility and durability
Accelerated Healing
Strong Fighter
Advanced combat & weapons training

Open Character: Johann Schmidt/Red Skull | Genetically Modified Human | Director of HYDRA | Alignment: HYDRA | Age Unknown
FC: Hugo Weaving
Johann Schmidt was an ex-Schutzstaffel Officer with the rank of Obergruppenführer who was closely affiliated with Adolf Hitler. The two shared a passion for Norse mythology according to Abraham Erskine, a German scientist who had defected to the United States. Hitler had subsequently located Erskine and sent Schmidt to force him to finish an experimental physiology-enhancing serum, only for Schmidt to take the serum and inject it into himself. The unfinished serum made Schmidt stronger, however it also caused a combustion reaction that horribly scarred his face, disfiguring its appearance to that of a hideous red skull.
Schmidt sought out and stole the Tesseract, a powerful artifact believed to be of Asgardian descent from a monastery in Tønsberg, Norway, and used its energy to power his armaments and weaponry. In Schmidt’s final plan to destroy America with a Tesseract-powered plane, the plane was hijacked by Rogers, who damaged the device that transferred the Tesseract’s power to the ship. When Schmidt attempted to pick up the cube, it created a portal in the sky (also showing a vision of another galaxy) before seemingly disintegrating him and burning through the aircraft floor to fall into the ocean below.
But Schmidt was very much alive and had been in fact teleported to a remote island where he slowly grew mentally unstable because of the cube’s powers until he was found and rescued by members of Hydra. Back in power within Hydra, he continued to try and replicate the cube but was also half successful, the cost was great as part of his consciousness had unknowingly been transferred to General Lukin, the Winter Soldier’s protégé.  The Red Skull manipulated the Winter Soldier to detonate a firebomb in Philadelphia with the deaths giving power the Cosmic Cube, but Lukin who had been disturbed by the Cube’s effect gave it to Barnes to store in a nuclear-safe vault in West Virginia. The Red Skull found Lukin and killed him, after finding out the location of the Cosmic Cube, only to find out that it had been destroyed by the Winter Soldier and Captain America.
The Red Skull still continues his search for the real cube and will do anything to obtain it. He believes it is still in the hands of SHIELD.

Open Character: Violet “Vi” | Human | Slayer | Alignment: Slayer Organization  | 18 Years Old
FC: Felicia Day
Violet wasn’t an outspoken girl when growing up. She was quiet, shy, never spoke out of turn, never did anything rebellious or bad. She was the good little girl, got straight A’s, didn’t date, made her parents proud. Until one day, people showed up at her doorstep, told her she was something called a Potential Slayer, and that she was going to be assigned a Watcher, who would train and monitor her daily. Violet didn’t have any idea what this meant, but being who she was, she decided to give it her all, just like she did her studies. It wasn’t the most exciting thing. Her watcher didn’t see much potential in Violet becoming a slayer, so she often neglected her and her duties. The most Violet ever heard of supernatural happenings or saw, was a blurry photograph her watcher showed her one time. Other than that, Violet was in the dark.
One day, hooded men came and tried to kill both her and her watcher. Her watcher, frightened, fled the scene and went into hiding, while Vi fought for her life; or ran, rather. She was rescued by Rupert Giles, who took her into safe arms and brought her back to Sunnydale where she would stay under the close watch of the real Slayer, until they knew she was safe. Vi felt out of the loop and often not good enough. She knew nothing of fighting and vampires, but she’d had this destiny thrown upon her and now there was nothing she could do except accept the fact. So she did. When push came to shove, she learned all she could, and fought as hard as she could down in the Hellmouth when Buffy and the rag tag group of Potentials took a stand against the first. Once activated as a Slayer by the spell Willow Rosenberg performed, Vi found out that she was strong enough, and was one of the lucky few who survived that day.
Along the way, Vi befriended Kennedy, another potential. And although Kennedy left to go with Willow, they still kept in touch. Vi went with Andrew, a watcher in training, to Cleveland to help lead a squad of new Slayers as well as keep the streets safe. When vampires began walking during the day, however, Vi felt overwhelmed and contacted Kennedy, begging her to come help her in Cleveland. Kennedy agreed, and took up head position, while keeping Violet as her right hand man. Now that the Slayer Organization was in compliance with SHIELD, Violet kept a positive outlook on hoping they could control the situation and get everything back to normal. Things continued to change though, especially after Violet and Andrew headed to LA, and then to New York City when the LA squad was broken up, mostly by Andrew’s actions. Then the sun got ‘turned on’ again. Would the changes never end?
Vi finds herself in a much bigger city than she’d ever imagined, assigned a new watcher in Xander Harris. She tries to maintain her positive nature, but sometimes things can just get overwhelming even for the most level headed people.
Characteristics: Shy, Determined, Outgoing, Funny, Intelligent, Mousy, Optomistic
Powers & Abilities:
Superhuman speed
Superhuman strength
Superhuman healing
Magical Knowledge/intelligence
Computer and Technological Skills

Open Character: Riley Finn | Human | S.H.I.E.L.D Agent | Alignment: Avengers Initiative | 25 years old
FC: Marc Blucas
Riley Finn was born in Huxley, Iowa. He works as a covert operative for the United States government. He initially worked for a government agency called “The Initiative” which was tasked with capturing demons and vampires for research purposes. Their headquarters were based underneath UC Sunnydale and he attended college while working as a recruit. During his time there, he met fellow student Buffy Summers and the two began dating. He eventually discovered her identity as the Slayer and the two worked together to battle demons in spite of having certain disagreements about their methods. Originally, Riley was heavily prejudiced against all demons, showing no approval for Willow Rosenberg’s relationship with a werewolf Oz, but he soon realized that demons are capable of both good and evil just as humans are after helping to save Oz from the Initiative base, particularly after witnessing his superiors’ inhumane treatment of Oz while in his human form.
Riley recruited Buffy to The Initiative but her tendency to ask questions and failure to follow protocol got her in trouble. The director if the Initiative, Maggie Walsh, was worried Buffy was taking Riley away from the agency and causing him to question her commands, so she devised a plan to have Buffy killed by sending her into a battle with a faulty weapon. Buffy escaped and revealed Walsh’s betrayal, devastating Riley and causing him to leave the Initiative. Riley loved Buffy a great deal, but he began to be self conscious about his humanity around her. Buffy was special and part of her made him feel weak. He was also frustrated by her inability to let him all the way in. He rebelled, allowing vampires to feed on him for entertainment and was eventually found out. After that, he and Buffy broke up and he was recruited back into the army in an underground black ops mission. He went on to marry fellow soldier Samantha.
Samantha and Riley worked together as a duo of demon hunters until Riley was recruited by S.H.I.E.L.D. When vampires began attacking during daylight, Riley was the only soldier who had previous experience fighting them. He tried to contact Buffy to create an alliance to fight against the threat and eventually got in contact with Rupert Giles. Giles was able to convince Buffy to go to New York and meet with Director Fury without telling Buffy that Riley was involved. Now Riley is working as a human soldier for S.H.I.E.L.D and fighting alongside his former flame for the first time since their days in Sunnydale.
And with the sun effectively ‘turned on’ again, a new threat has reared it’s multiple heads: HYDRA. As one of the lower level agents that wasn’t compromised in HYDRA’s hacking of SHIELD, Riley must now work overtime to see to it that these guys are taken out.
Character Traits: Friendly, charming, witty, reliable, solid, sometimes judgemental, black and white mentality
Powers & Abilities:
Skilled in hand to hand combat
More knowledge about demon physiology than anyone else in S.H.I.E.L.D
Expert in strategy
Good tracker

Open Character: Nick Fury | Human | S.H.I.E.L.D Director | Alignment: Avengers Initiative | 63 years old
FC: Samuel L Jackson
Nick Fury is the director of S.H.I.E.L.D., the world’s leading international military espionage agency. He is the eldest of three children born to Jack Fury in New York City. His father was a United States citizen who enlisted in the United Kingdom’s Royal Flying Corps during World War II. All three children grew up in the neighborhood known as Hell’s Kitchen, Manhattan, New York City, New York. Nick was an amateur boxer through the Police Athletic League where he also learned marksmanship. Fury eventually joined the U.S. army where he quickly rose through the ranks. He met Howard Stark, who told Nick he had been a friend of his father’s during the war. The two were both skilled pilots but Howard had also been an inventor and scientist.
Stark took a young Nick Fury under his wing and Fury was eventually recruited to the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA). Fury segued into the CIA as an espionage agent, gathering information in Korea. During this time Fury received a battlefield commission to lieutenant. He later reached the rank of colonel. Soon after his promotion, Fury recommended the recruitment of married agents Richard and Mary Parker, who would go on to become the parents of Fury’s occasional superhero ally Spider-Man. During his time at the CIA, Fury and Stark were contacted by a mysterious High Council. The group had enhanced knowledge and seemingly supernatural influences. The Council tasked Stark and Fury with creating the group that would become known as S.H.I.E.L.D, claiming that they knew the final fate of man and that their mission was to ensure nothing threatened humanity before it occurred. The High Council have been involved from afar ever since, although the members change. Fury and Stark ran S.H.I.E.L.D together up until Howard Stark’s untimely death.
As director of S.H.I.E.L.D, Fury acted as a liason between the C.I.A and super-powered individuals. He went on to create The Avengers Initiative for this same purpose. During The Avengers’ first mission, Fury assisted in faking the death of Agent Phil Coulson. Coulson was shot by Loki and reasoned that the group needed a common tragedy to bring them together. Fury reluctantly agreed. Coulson and Fury are the only two who know about this arrangement. When creatures that can only be described as vampires begin attacking citizens all over the world in broad daylight, Fury quickly contacts all the costumed heroes he knows to assist him in quelling the threat. He also assists the government in creating a cover story to explain the creatures.
Soon after the vampire threat becomes prominent, Fury is contacted by a man named Rupert Giles, head of something called The Watcher’s Council. Giles explains that he works for a group called The Slayer Organization that fights against supernatural threats. Giles arranges for Fury to meet with the Organization’s highest ranking officer, a young woman named Buffy Summers. She brings Fury up to speed on the vampire threat and the two groups eventually agree to work together. While fighting off the threat and keeping the public in the dark, Fury also must think of a way to tell his allies that Coulson is still alive without damaging the trust that has been built between them.
But now the vampire threat is gone, but new enemies always find a way to threaten the world. HYDRA is back in business, and after they attack LA with nerve gas and compromise most of SHIELD’s top agents, including Fury, he goes underground, leaving a colleague by the name of William North in charge. But Fury has a hard time coping with giving up his command…

Open Character: Viper/Madame Hydra | Supervillian | HYDRA Spy | Alignment: HYDRA | Age Unknown
FC: Svetlana Khodchenkova
Born Ophelia Sarkissian, the young Hungarian girl that would grow up to be known as Viper was taken by the terrorist organization Hydra at an early age after she was orphaned under mysterious circumstances. For twenty-two years, Viper excelled under the cruel tutelage of Commander Kraken and would quickly become his prized pupil.
Known for her expert marksmanship, keen martial art skills and unbridled brutality Viper quickly rose to become the leader of Hydra, taking up the moniker of “Madam Hydra,” but stepped down after the Red Skull resumed power as the Head of Hydra once more. During her time with Hydra, Viper frequently matched wits with the likes of Captain America as well as the agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. – but she would later battle both Wolverine and the X-Men when she aided her then- lover Silver Samurai in an attempt to assassinate his half-sister and Wolverine’s lover, Mariko Yashida.
Viper would later use the ancient code of “giri,” (or honorable debt), to blackmail Wolverine into marrying her. Although the marriage existed for political purposes and the two eventually divorced, it was hinted that they shared a strong mutual attraction (at least from Viper’s perspective).
The right side of Madame Hydra’s face is scarred and disfigured, although cosmetic surgery over the years has made this condition somewhat better. She disguises her disfigurement by wearing her hair in such a manner as to cover much of the right side of her face.
Character Traits: Cunning, Brilliant criminal strategist, cold and uncaring, arrogant, seductress.

Open Character: Satsu | Human | Slayer | Alignment: Slayer Organization  | 18 Years Old
FC: Malese Jow
Satsu was born to traditional Japanese parents, who wanted to watch their daughter grow up and get married, and were therefore devastated when she came out as a lesbian. They rejected their daughter, but Satsu tried to not let it get to her. She was who she was going to be, and she wasn’t going to change for anyone. When the Slayer spell was cast and all the Slayers were activated, Satsu was in school at the time, and was thrown off her feet in a rush of power. She had been raised as a skilled sword fighter, and even in her youth had become somewhat of a skilled fighter with a katana, her weapon of choice. When called as a Slayer, Satsu was immediately take with the power, and was contacted quickly by the Slayer Organization, where she became a part of the London Task Force, directly under supervision of Buffy. They wanted to train her properly before letting her go and become the leader of her own squad, which she was told was probably far off at the moment.
Instead, Satsu stayed in London, where she accidentally fell in love with Buffy Summers, the original Slayer, as all the newbie Slayers called her. Buffy took a liking to Satsu as well, as she was one of Buffy’s best fighters. She often took Satsu out on missions with her, and even trusted her with large tasks like rescuing captured girls and slaying vamp nests. After one very particular instance, where Satsu nearly got herself killed for Buffy, Buffy took Satsu aside and explained to her about how she wasn’t “like that”. However, things got messy, and the two ended up sleeping with each other. After that night, however, Buffy began acting distant to Satsu, not talking to her, and sending her out on her own missions, rather than asking her to accompany her personally.
Disgruntled and upset, Satsu began lashing out at everything that made her angry. Though still on the London squad, she frequented Japan and helped that squad, if only to get away from Buffy. But when vampires suddenly started roaming during the day, Satsu put her anger aside and came back to help Buffy and her squad. Little did she know, Faith would soon be joining the small inner squad. Buffy continued acting odd around Satsu, but told her she was glad to be back, helping where she was needed. They existed in the awkward stage of post-sleeping together, but Satsu hoped to either woo Buffy and win her over, or forget about their night together completely. When vampires attacked New York and Los Angeles simultaneously, the London Task Force was redistributed and Buffy went to New York, sending Satsu to Los Angeles. But now the vampires are vulnerable to the sun again, and Los Angeles has been wiped off the map by HYDRA. Satsu had no choice but to go to the New York Slayer HQ with the rest of her squad, and risk facing Buffy once more.

Open Character: Kennedy | Human | Slayer | Alignment: Slayer Organization (NY Task Force) | 20 Years Old
FC: Iyari Limon
Born and raised in New York, Kennedy was spoiled her entire childhood. From a young age, she knew she was a lesbian, as well as a Potential. When she was eight she discovered that she was a potential and was assigned a watcher, who immediately began training her. Her life wasn’t the most exciting by any means, nor was it dull. Living in a rich family meant private schooling, and Kennedy only lived with one other child, her step sister. Her father raised her like the boy he had always wanted, and Kennedy trained long, hard hours to become a good fighter, so that one day, if she was called, she would be prepared. But it was also to impress her father, who was constantly gone, pursuing his job on Wall Street. Though spoiled and pampered as a child, Kennedy certainly didn’t let any of it get to her head. She was stubborn and bratty, but she knew what she wanted in her life, and she was going to go for it.
That was until, one day, her Watcher was murdered in front of her eyes by a hooded figure, who claimed to be a Bringer. She was able to escape by the skin of her teeth and was found by Rupert Giles, who took her back to Sunnydale with him in order to keep her protected. He explained that Watchers and Potentials all around the world were being slaughtered, and the only safe place would be in Sunnydale with the Slayer. Of course Kennedy agreed, having meeting the Slayer as one of her most wanted wishes. But when she did, she wasn’t as impressed as she thought she would be. Instead, Kennedy turned to her best friend, Willow Rosenberg, and became smitten with the burdened witch, pursuing, and eventually starting a relationship with her. After helping to defeat the First, and becoming a Slayer along with all the other potentials, Kennedy’s life seemed to be looking up once again.
After the Sunnydale incident, Willow and Kennedy traveled to Brazil, where Kennedy supported Willow in a six month long spiritual journey in the magic realms, while she slayed in the third world country. When Willow came back, there was something different and strained about their relationship, but before Kennedy could get a chance to talk things over with Willow, they were contacted by Buffy and an organization called SHIELD about the uprising vampire issue. Having been away, the two had barely noticed vamps walking in the daylight. Kennedy was wary about going at first, and when she protested Willow, Willow broke it off with her and the two went their separate ways. Kennedy was asked to head the Cleveland Squad of Slayers, so with nothing else to do, she agreed. Violet was there as well, and quickly became her right hand man, with Andrew as the squad’s watcher. Maybe with this restart, Kennedy can get over her break up with Willow, or maybe she can try and fix things. Whatever would happen, she knew these next few months would be rough—vamps walking the daylight streets was definitely not good. She spent months in Cleveland before being asked to relocate to New York. It didn’t make any difference to Kennedy, so off she went. Vampires needed dusting everywhere, after all. Now that the vampires aren’t walking on sunshine anymore, Kennedy just tries to live one day at a time, still hung up on Willow in spite of herself.
Characteristics: Strong Willed, Loyal, Stubborn, Bratty, Cocky, Confident, Pushy
Powers & Abilities:
Superhuman Speed
Superhuman Strength
Superhuman Healing
Superior Hand to Hand combat knowledge
Superior Weapon knowledge/usage

Open Character: Charles Gunn | Human | Demon Hunter | Alignment: Angel Investigations | 26 years old
FC: J. August Richards
Charles Gunn, usually called by his last name, was forced to grow up way too quickly. He grew up in an area of Los Angeles called The Badlands. It was an area so corrupt, not even the police would venture there. He took care of his sister, Alonna, from a young age after his grandmother taught him about vampire hunting. Gunn joined a street gang with the goal not to break the law, but to take back control of the neighborhood. The group trained to fight vampires and demons, learning to use their knowledge of the neighborhood to their advantage with guerrilla tactics and traps. He genuinely believed he had no future, that he would end up dead at the hands of a vampire. He was merely determined to take as many of them down as possible. Tragedy struck him when his sister Alonna was turned into a vampire and Gunn was tearfully forced to take her life after she attempted to turn him too.
Gunn had a run-in with Angel while Angel was also vampire hunting in the neighborhood. The gang attempted to take Angel’s life but were unsuccessful. Angel eventually won Gunn’s trust, helping him protect the neighborhood and fight the vampires who turned Alonna. After that, Gunn acted as a freelance demon hunter for Angel Investigations before joining the group on a more permanent basis. He gained the respect of the group based on his knowledge of strategy, his tough attitude and advanced fighting skills. He also had several contacts in the underbelly of Los Angeles, which came in handy when Angel Investigations needed something from them.
After Angel took over Wolfram & Hart, Gunn became head of their legal division. He was granted knowledge of the law by supernatural means, making him a temporary genius. When he began losing this knowledge, he was offered the chance to make it permanent by signing paperwork that would grant an object to be released from customs. He did this, not knowing that the object was a tool of Illyria and would mean the death of Fred. Guilt-ridden and crushed, Gunn re-donned his old street attire and willingly offered himself to take Lindsey McDonald’s place in a hell dimension in order to get information on how to stop the Senior Partners. Angel and the team had no clue how to free him, but Illyria did. Upon returning, Gunn attempted to seek redemption for his mistakes. He fought with Angel and the group against The Circle of The Black Thorn, being seriously injured and almost killed while taking them out. He fought on, helping Angel win the battle against the armies of the senior partners. Abandoning Wolfram & Hart, Gunn and Angel have now returned to Angel Investigations, and Gunn played a key part in moving the business to New York City when Los Angeles was compromised by HYDRA.
Character Traits: Cocky, reckless, values friendship, sensitive with limited individuals, insecure, self-sufficient
Powers & Abilities
Experience in guerrilla warfare
Excels in both armed and unarmed combat
Skilled vampire hunter
Knowledge of vampires and demons picked up during his time at Angel Investigations and Wolfram & Hart.
Skilled marksman
Advanced Strategist
